About the University of Toronto and the University of Toronto at Scarborough

With almost 70,000 students registered, the University of Toronto is one of the largest public, research universities in North America. The university is consistently ranked #1 in Canada. The university is over 170 years old and has in excess of 400,000 living alumni, with students coming from 138 different countries. Located in the City of Toronto, the largest city in Canada, and one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world.


The University has 3 campuses and each admits independently. The Foundation Program is located on the UTSC campus only. The University of Toronto at Scarborough campus is located about 30 km east of the center of the city. UTSC's population for 2005-06 is over 9000 students, of which approximately 2300 are new first year students. Admission to all programs at UTSC is on a competitive basis with no quotas for international students. UTSC offers degrees in the following areas:

• Honours Bachelor of Arts - 4 years
• Honours Bachelor of Science - 4 years
• Bachelor of Business Administration - 4 years
