After Enrolling in UTmail+

Opt in vs. opt out

The enrolment process permits you to either opt-in to, or opt-out of, the UTmail+ service. In either case, you will be given a This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it email address. All mail delivered to your UTORmail account will be rerouted to the new address.

For students who opt-in:

  • Mail sent to your UTORmail account ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) will be rerouted to UTmail+.
  • Once you complete the process no new mail will be delivered to your UTORmail account.
  • If your UTORmail account is forwarded to another email address, the forwarding will be removed (UTmail+ has its own forwarding options you can set).
  • Migrating mail from UTORmail to UTmail+ can be done with a built-in tool called "Connected Accounts" (see the Help Desk's article on Merging Messages from UTORmail to UTmail+). If you wish to save any messages from UTORmail, we strongly advise you to go through this process.

For students who opt-out:

  • You must provide a forwarding email address. All mail will be forwarded to this address.
  • Once you complete the process no new mail will be delivered to your UTORmail account.
  • You will not have access to the Office Web Apps.

Eligibility

UTmail+ is a service for students only.  Staff and Faculty should use the UTORexchange service as an alternative.  Please contact the Student Helpdesk for more information.
