You are provided both a UTSCid and a UTORid, which will open up access to a number of technology-related resources and services.

UTmail+

UTmail+ is the new student email and calendar service at the University of Toronto. The service is powered by Microsoft’s Live@edu platform and supports integrated email, calendaring, contacts and task lists.

Email

There are two email addresses assigned to you through your UTSCid and UTORid, which are recommended for official correspondence between yourself and University faculty.

Wireless

Access the Internet on your notebook or wireless-ready mobile device from the campus-wide wireless zones.

ResNet

All residence rooms have access to the Internet through UTSC’s Residence Network, a service provided to all students staying at the UTSC Residence.

Printing

Printers are available for use by students from all computer labs and the Library. A T-Card is required for the transaction, in which funds can be added to by several “Cash-to-card" machines.

Student Clubs

All Scarborough Campus Student Union clubs are eligible to sign-out equipment from Audio Visual Service for club events. More information, such as policies, guidelines, and fee’s, is available.

Hardware Recommendation

Students looking to purchase a new computer may be eligible for Education discounts from various stores. In particular, the Apple Education Store and the U of T CampusComputerShop have Education pricing for many of their products.  It is recommended that you check your requirements first, including the student software pricing from the UTSC Bookstore, before purchasing any hardware or software.
