Orders for new Dell computers can be placed directly from the U of T Premiere online store or with the U of T

Apple computers can be ordered directly from Apple Education Store or the U of T CampusComputerShop.
Dell offers special pricing for UofT Staff and Faculty who wish to purchase computers for personal (off-campus) use. See the Dell EPP page for more details.

IITS will only transfer over:
- My Documents Folder on Windows computers
- All files on the Desktop
- Internet Explorer and Firefox favorites
- Email Local folders
Any files outside these locations will be omitted. If there are folders and/or files outside these locations that need to be transferred, we ask you to move them to the My Documents folder. It is users' responsibility to advise IITS if, for any reason, files cannot be moved to the My Documents folder.
IITS always recommends that users create their own backups prior to system upgrade. It is recommended that users maintain regular back ups in case of system failure or other unforeseen events that may lead to data loss.
Users are required to purchase licenses for any software they wish to have installed on the new system PRIOR to the work performed.
