Secure Filetransfer System

Secure File Transfer Thumbnail

The Secure Filetransfer System is a new Staff/Faculty service designed to transfer files through the internet in a fast and secure manner.

Users can now send files up to 2GB in size to anyone with an email address. Senders will be notified when the recipient has successfully received the file, and all data is encrypted during the transfer, ensuring that your files are protected and secure. To login, please use your UTSCID and password.

Work From Home

UTORvpn Thumbnail

UTORvpn is an offer to staff, faculty and graduate students, and will allow them to connect to the U of T network in a similar way that the Megabit service did. UTORvpn will establish a Virtual Private Connection between the user's home machine and the VPN server on campus. Once connected, the user will have a U of T IP address and all traffic flowing to and from their machine will be encrypted using TLS/SSL technology. Users will be required to log in with their UTORid and password each time they connect.

If the software package you are interested in is not available through the LSO your next stop should be the The U of T CampusComputerShop as they have academic pricing for many software applications.
