Email & Calendar

Use @utsc.utoronto.ca for official correspondence with U of T students, faculty &staff.

You can manage your schedule and book meetings using U of T UTORexchange system.

Secure Filetransfer System

The Secure Filetransfer System is a new Staff/Faculty service designed to transfer files through the internet in a fast and secure manner.

Users can now send files up to 2GB in size to anyone with an email address. Senders will be notified when the recipient has successfully received the file, and all data is encrypted during the transfer, ensuring that your files are protected and secure. To login, please use your UTSCID and password.

Wireless

Access the Internet from your notebook, and any mobile devices from campus wide wireless zones.

Communication

Videoconferencing facilities are available to faculty and staff for meeting with other groups at a distance.

Skype is also available for remote meetings from the comfort of your office.

Web Services

We offer advice on technologies and solutions for the web, application and multimedia needs of your department.

We will help you to leverage technology to enhance your curriculum or department offerings through the use of various tools of interactivity, multimedia elements or appropriate applications to engage your audience in an exciting way.

Work From Home

UTORvpn is an offer to staff, faculty and graduate students, and will allow them to connect to the U of T network in a similar way that the Megabit service did. UTORvpn will establish a Virtual Private Connection between the user's home machine and the VPN server on campus. Once connected, the user will have a U of T IP address and all traffic flowing to and from their machine will be encrypted using TLS/SSL technology. Users will be required to log in with their UTORid and password each time they connect.

Software Licensing

For members of the U of T community, The U of T Licensed Software Office has negotiated special pricing with many software vendors. Please see the LSO's web site for a list of software available through the LSO.

If the software package you are interested in is not available through the LSO your next stop should be the The U of T CampusComputerShop as they have academic pricing for many software applications.
