BitLocker Disk Encryption StaffFaculty

New PCs are required to have Windows 7 Ultimate installed which supports full disk encryption using BitLocker technology. BitLocker utilizes Trusted Platform Module (TPM) which comes standard in Dell Optiplex and Latitude computers.

Limited Administrative AccessStudentStaffFaculty

No matter how careful you may be, the chance for malware infection is significantly exacerbated if you have full admin rights on your computer. In the vast majority of cases, such access level is not needed for day-to-day use. Therefore, user accounts created by IITS have limited access to the local machine.
