Graduating Student Employment Service (GSES)
What is it?
A comprehensive employment service providing special access to job listings, workshops, and employer events on campus to help graduating students find employment after graduation. Medium- and large-sized employers will post jobs on the Career Centre’s website exclusively for students in their graduating year. Jobs are posted from September to March, with employment starting in the spring.
Who should register?
All University of Toronto students who will be graduating in June or November 2012.
What will you gain?
GSES offers a unique on-campus recruitment program for students in their graduating year. By registering for this service you will be able to:
- Access thousands of full-time employment listings from organizations looking to hire new and recent graduates
- Employ traditional and strategic job search strategies to tap into the hidden job market
- Gain access to unique special events at all three campuses, including employer practice interviews, networking events with industry professionals and recruiters, on-campus interviews, and employer information sessions
- Continue to access other Academic Advising & Career Centre services, including resume & cover letter critiques, mock interviews, career & employment related workshops, self-assessments, employment coaching, and individual career counselling appointments
How do you register?
GSES starts in September 2011 and ends in March 2012.
Prior to registering for GSES, you must create an account with the Career Centre Online. UTSC students must attend an orientation session to receive access to GSES. Registration for GSES orientation sessions can be accessed through the Intranet. Orientations commence in August, so students can be fully registered and initiated with the service prior to September when job postings go live, and continue throughout the year until January.

Recent Graduates Employment Service (RGES)
RGES picks up where GSES leaves off, with access to full-time job postings from organizations of all sizes from all manner of industries, looking for immediate hires.
RGES offers assistance searching for full-time work for 2 years after graduation. If you are graduating in June or November 2012, you are eligible to register for this program. RGES starts March 19, 2012. Please sign up for an orientation session on the Intranet to gain access to this service.
Students previously registered with GSES are exempt from attending the orientation session and can transfer to RGES by visiting the Academic Advising & Career Centre, Room AC213.
